Mark 7:6-13. 5So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, "Why don't your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with 'unclean' hands?"

6He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:

Deuteronomy 6:1-9: The Greatest Commandment

In the second to the last chapter of the Disciples Memorial Parsha of Va’etchanan, we expound on the 6^th chapter of Deuteronomy, in the ministry of the Lord Jesus, the Holy Anointed One of Israel; ministry of Grace. Jesus ministry drew each person closer to God through the word. He preached that the Kingdom of God is at hand. John the Baptist was his forerunner, also preaching to repent the kingdom of God is at hand. Repentance is the work of grace, a necessary or must needs foundation in the church. God willing when you repent and are delivered from your sin, then you can leave your dead works that go against the faith of God, the fear and understanding of God and leads to sorrow. Sorrow can lead to the love, knowledge and understanding of God, which is the word of God; the Law of Moses. (Romans 2:4; Hebrew 6:1; 2^nd Corinthians 7:1, 10).

Also in chapter 6, in the book of Deuteronomy Moses speaks the word of God saying that God has commanded him to teach you the commandments’ and judgments. God has commanded this day that the commandments hall be observed in the land of your inheritance, that you will possess; and that your entire household shall fear the LORD God, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged, in the land (Deuteronomy 6:1-2 and Joshua 23:6).

Moses says to the congregation, “So actually Moses law actually began back in Exodus Three: ⁵And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. ⁶Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. ⁷And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; ⁸And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. 9Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. (Exodus 3:5-9).

Many may go through similar ordeals of oppression, when we don’t know when enough is enough. Maybe thinking that you should have stayed with the job, that mate or anything that you put before God that is displeasing to him: idolatry. Meanwhile you may thinking there is so much more you could have done with an extra dollar, God has allowed the son of perdition to raise his ugly head. On the other hand, you have lost a job, and during this recession, a time of uncertainty that can be pretty demeaning and challenges your faith and everything you believe in. Know that God only wants the best for you. In the memorial of Va’eira, the generation of Abraham is chosen forever; before you are perform the mitzvoth’s. God will know if his word will stand from his sanctuary in Jerusalem. (Jeremiah 44:28).

Deuteronomy 6:10-25: Caution against Disobedience

Therefore, Jesus calls the chosen descendants from the first generation to leave Egypt. Jesus said many are not called because they are not of the lost house of Israel. (Exodus 3:15). The children of Israel in the north Kingdom were scattered at an early young age by Assyria, 700 years after the freedom from the house of bondage, in Egypt, from Pharaoh. Like the suffering in Egypt for 413 years, which is equivalent to the plight of slavery in America, suffrage is may have begun as early as 1595 in the new world, the least populated continent (Joshua 23:15). Now the northern kingdom went into captivity in Assyria one by one and remain there unto this day, because of transgression against the God of their fathers, around 1300 B.C. (Joshua 23:16). The people served the gods of the people of the land and committed whoredom. Manasseh dwelt in Bashan, Baal-Hermon Senir and Mount Hermon until he went to captivity. The LORD God testified against Israel and against Judah because the people could not hear the word of God. (2 Kings 17:7-18). The wrath of God fell on Israel because of idolatry. (Joshua 22:25). Then the Bible states that God removed Israel out of his sight in 730 B.C., from their own land because the people did not hold fast to the word of God, and perform the mitzvoth’s. (Joshua 23:5). (Proverbs 3:5-6). On the contrast, the remnant of Judah was saved, but Judah went into captivity about 300 years after Israel. The remnant of Judah shall be a light unto the Gentiles, and the House of God i.e., the church. (2 Kings 17:36). God rejected all of the seed of Israel by affliction and delivering Israel into the hand of spoilers; and torn from the house of David; because they did not depart from sin: idolatry. (1 Kings 14:15, 16). The LORD God removed Israel out of his sight, and the northern kingdom was carried out of their own land. (2 Kings 17:24). Yet, if you listen to the news the enemy wants Israel to do something that cannot be done, to give land and to split Jerusalem. However, the children of Jacob, named Israel did not fear the LORD God, at a time grace was not for everyone, so fear rather than love brought people back to the mitzvoth’s. (Exodus 20:5; 2 Kings 17:34-40; and Joshua 23:5). The people are commanded to perform the statutes, ordinances, laws, regulations, decrees with all your heart and soul in the promise land, and wherever they shall live to and obey commandments of the LORD God, until this day. (2^nd Kings 17:34-40; Numbers 10; Mark 12:28-34; Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 22:35,39,46; Deuteronomy 4:39). Now the Priesthood is in the line of Phinehas, and the peace, sacrificial and burnt offerings were for his line. Yet Jeroboam caused Israel a great sin, which did not remove from them until the LORD Israel removed Israel, the northern kingdom from his presence, away from the house of David. The southern kingdom, Judah destroyed theirselves and went into captivity but the remnant of Judah, a remnant from the house of David escaped the sword, the plague and the famine. (Mark 12:35-40 and Jeremiah 44:29-30). God recompenses disobedience. (Ezekiel 7:3; 5:10; Leviticus 26:3; Deuteronomy 28:53). As a result the people were taken from their land, the land that God gave them, is giving them Joshua 2:1-8). As in the memorial Parsha of Balak, the plague was in Shittim, to this date no prophet has eradicated this plague through announcing the word of God, for the church, not even unto this date (Numbers 25:1-3; Joshua 22:17; 2^nd Peter 2:15; Revelations 2:12-17).

In closing this chapter, the moral to the story is that your behavior can destroy you. You won’t have worry about your enemies, laying a snare for you. Like Moses, Jesus also recited the commandment that was very important to hear God and love him with your all and all; and also love your neighbor as yourself. (Mark 12:28-34 and Deuteronomy 6:4-9). Jesus taught his Disciples not only following the commandments of the LORD God, the Father God is One God, are very important but also by loving God and your neighbors you’re is close to the kingdom of God, and is as good as all the mitzvoth’s. God requires that we obey and perform His commandments.

John 12:20-36: Jesus Predicts His Death

John 12:37-50: The Jews continue in the unbelief
