THE MEMORIAL PARSHA TAZRIA FOR THE DISCIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST:

The Memorial Parsha of Tzaria, Leviticus 14:1 through Leviticus 15:33; and the Haftorah, 2nd Kings 4:42 through 2nd Kings 5:19. Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

LEVITICUS FOURTEEN:
1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought unto the priest:
 3And the priest shall go forth out of the camp; and the priest shall look, and, behold, if the plague of leprosy be healed in the leper;
4Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two birds alive and clean, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:
5And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water:
6As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:
7And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field.
8And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.
9But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.
10And on the eighth day he shall take two he lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, and three tenth deals of fine flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.
11And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
12And the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer him for a trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:
13And he shall slay the lamb in the place where he shall kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the holy place: for as the sin offering is the priest's, so is the trespass offering: it is most holy:
14And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:
15And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand:
16And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD:
17And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering:
18And the remnant of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD.
19And the priest shall offer the sin offering, and make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering:
20And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and he shall be clean.
 21And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering, and a log of oil;
22And two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.
23And he shall bring them on the eighth day for his cleansing unto the priest, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, before the LORD.
24And the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:
25And he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:
26And the priest shall pour of the oil into the palm of his own left hand:
27And the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the LORD:
28And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass offering:
29And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an atonement for him before the LORD.
30And he shall offer the one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, such as he can get; (Leviticus 14, King James Version)

Thalia's Commentary on the Memorial Portion:

Jesus professional ministry is exciting. Jesus shows great effort in healing because he is a compassionate Messiah, the anointed one. Jesus taught that with forgiveness came healing. Jesus healed the Gentiles because the Gentile nations believed on Him (Matthew 13:55). Jesus is the only prophet, the anointed one to show Love for His fellow mankind, you can see this clearly illustrated in the scriptures that fulfill the Hebrew Bible, in the New Testament. Jesus did not change the law of Moses. Jesus fulfilled the scriptures. Jesus works is the will of God.

Jesus is the greatest man that ever walked the earth. Jesus preached the kingdom of God is at hand. The Kingdom of God means that the

Jesus is the greatest man that ever walked the earth. Jesus preached the kingdom of God is at hand. The Kingdom of God means that the heavenly kingdom of God’s house is obtainable. In this memorial portion we will talk about healing. However, Jesus also sent the Disciples’ to restore kingdom of God. As the church grows, so did the restoration of the gospel (Mark 3:13-19). http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark%203:13-19&version=NIV. Jesus taught His Disciples to seek the lost of the House of Israel. What does that mean for Jews that attend church? Jesus is saying that I will sprinkle the gentiles; however, baptism and church functions are Jewish. Jesus is Jewish and Semitic. However, to avoid persecution and bias and hypocritical remarks my functions are limited. Just remember Jesus is Jewish and He came for his own people, and whoever came to Him would not be ashamed or turned away, as long as you have faith.

This memorial portion is interesting because it reminds me that there once was a man who needed healing (John 16:5) http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2016:5&version=NIV. The Disciples tried but could not cleanse and heal the man (Matthew 17:20-21) http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2017&version=KJV. Jesus said to the Disciples, “this kind comes out only by fasting and prayer.” Jesus knew that prayer and fasting would strengthen him; and He knew that the angels shall minister to Him (Mark 1:13) . A glorious task, that God made Jesus a little lower than the angels (Hebrew 2:7 and Luke 4:18). There never has and there never will be another man to walk the earth in the flesh, like the Lord Jesus and resurrect in the flesh like Jesus: the first born of the resurrection – the sons of Israel.

In the beginning Jesus taught at the temple. The temple is the exact location that Abraham first performed his sacrifice that is written in the bible. Likewise, the temple is in the exact same place that Adam, Abel, and Noah performed a sacrifice. The Apostle Paul said that the gospel begins with Abraham (Genesis 22:14 and Galatians 3:8).

Jesus performed many miracles, so much that there would not be room to record the will of God, in all the space in the world. In the Gospel of Mark, the first chapter, Jesus begins his ministry in Galilee, as the prophecies of Daniel the prophet (Daniel 9:25; and Matthew 4:12-17; and Mark 1:15) . Many people would follow Jesus to hear him teach and preach and manifest the works of God. Like Jesus, John the Baptist did baptize in the name of Jesus, the baptism of repentance for the remission (forgiveness) of sins. Moreover the Prophet Isaiah said that God will redeem Jerusalem, and then everyone shall see the salvation of our God. The prophet that saying, “His visage was marred more than any other servant of the High God, the children of God: the son of Israel. He shall sprinkle many Gentiles, with the power of the Holy Spirit of God: wave offering.

Wow this is really exciting to hear. You have some people who believe that there are separate entities, like the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost and then you have some people who believe that there is the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit; lastly you have some people who believe that the Comforter is not Jewish in nature that is a prophet that has nothing to do with the Bible or the Songs of Songs by Solomon which is encouragement to the church, the courtship of the Messiah.

In the fourteen chapter of the book of Leviticus, some of the people would be truthful about their iniquities and seek healing at the time Jesus walked the earth. Yet many people were occupying the land of Israel, such as Rome; which was a dark time in history because people were not being spiritually fed. Most importantly we got away from the Temples of Herod and the bread of Herod, the Pharisees, and the Sadducees. Nevertheless, Jesus had another plan for the House of Israel, a vessel set apart from the gentiles of good pleasure, for He alone is the revealed arm of our LORD God (Isaiah 52:11 and Isaiah 48:20).

The prophet Jeremiah spoke the word of God against the gentiles in the fiftieth chapter, and the twelfth verse, saying to the gentiles, “You shall be a desolate nation and shall not be inhabited. However Babylon shall be wholly desolate that destroy our heritage – like the burnt offering of bulls and heifers, that should have been a sacrificial offering for a thanksgiving offering (Jeremiah 50:11 and Isaiah 47:6).”

The word of God came to Moses concerning the ritual cleansing for lepers that are healed. The law of the leper is given to Moses (Leviticus 14:2-6). The leper shall be sprinkled seven times and pronounced clean, by the Priest (Leviticus 14:7).

The steps of the ritual for the cleaning ceremony are listed and then he will be clean (Leviticus 14:8-10). Then on the eighth day, sacrifices for a grain offering, with one two-third pints of oil. Next, the priest will take the leper and his offering before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. The priest shall offer a guilt (trespass) offering and shall wave the sacrifices before the LORD as a wave offering (Leviticus 14:12 and Hosea 11:3). The priest shall perform a sin offering and a burnt offering belongs to the priest, because it is the most holy (Leviticus 14:13). The priest shall use the sacrifice from the trespass (guilt) offering and sprinkle the blood and oil seven times before the LORD. Next, the Priest shall make atonement for the person that is to be cleansed, before the LORD from his uncleanness; afterward then he shall offer the burnt offerings and the grain offering on the altar. (Leviticus 14:14-18). The priest shall make atonement for him, and shall be clean (Leviticus 14:19-20). The cleansing of the infectious skin diseases is expounded in verses one through thirty-two of this chapter, Leviticus 14. The Israelites will receive regulation from Moses, the word of God, as they move into the homes of the Canaanites and there is a recompense of the LORD, in the form of the plague. The children of Israel that choose to cleanse theirselves follow the rituals of the sin, burnt, trespass, and the wave offering cleanses them from the disease to make atonement. In closing of chapter fourteen of the book of Leviticus, the Law of the Leprous is slightly amended, and is expounded by Moses in verses twenty-one through thirty one of the fourteenth chapter, in the book of Leviticus.

The Law of the Leprous Homes:

In this passage God speaks to Moses and Aaron. The word of God says that when you come into your home, in the land of Canaan, in which I give you, and I put the home in your possession, and I put the leprous plague (mildew, mold, dry rot etc.), and the owner believes that the plague is in the home. Then once he tells the priest the priest shall command that the home is emptied. The priest shall examine the plague in the home. The priest shall shut the house down for seven days. If the plague is not gone in seven days then the priest shall command that the stone with the plague be removed away from the home and cast in an unclean place. The Priest shall also command that the house be scraped thoroughly and all over and also the leprous particles and carcinogens on the stones, mortars, dry wall and plasters of the house etc, shall also be place in unclean place. The house shall be rebuilt that had the plague. Just like the homes on the ABC Network show, Home Improvement, and building a better community with your neighbors. If the plague returns then it is an active leprosy in the house. The home that has leprosy is unclean. If the house has an active leprosy then he shall break down the home and shall carry the stones and timber and plaster of the house to an unclean place. The person that goes into a home that has active leprosy shall be unclean because this home has to be rebuilt on the land that the house once stood.

Leviticus 14:46-48
46 Moreover he who goes into the house at all while it is shut up shall be unclean until evening.
47 And he who lies down in the house shall wash his clothes, and he who eats in the house shall wash his clothes.
48 “But if the priest comes in and examines it, and indeed the plague has not spread in the house after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

Finally the home shall be cleansed with two birds, cedar wood, scarlet and hyssop. The Priest shall perform the ritual to cleanse the house (Leviticus 14:49-53 and Leviticus 14:4-6).

Leviticus 15: The Law concerning bodily discharges.

The word of the LORD comes to Moses and Aaron saying, “When a man has discharge from his body, his discharge is unclean.” If you have puss, abscess, or hemorrhaging, then you shall be unclean.

Furthermore, every bed that he sits on and has a discharge is made on unclean, and every bed he sits, or touches shall be unclean, and he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening. If you sit on anything that the person has the discharge or touches the body of him that has the discharge you shall be unclean and you shall wash your clothes in water and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening (Leviticus 15:1-7). If the person that has the discharge spits on a clean person, then he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening (Leviticus 15:8). Any saddle that the discharge rides on shall be unclean. Anyone that touches anything was under him shall be unclean until evening. If you carry any of those things mentioned from verses 1 through 9, then you shall be unclean and you shall wash your clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening. Remember if the person with the discharge touches you and you have not rinsed your hands then you shall wash your clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening. The vessel of the earth that he that has discharge touches shall be broken and every vessel of wood shall be rinsed in water.

After the discharge is cleanse from his body he shall count for himself seven days for cleansing, wash his clothes, and bathe his body in running water; then he shall be clean.

On the eight day, he shall take for himself a sacrificial sin offering to the priest. The priest shall offer the sacrificial offering as sin offering and burnt offering before the Lord because of his discharge.

If any man has an emission of semen, then he shall wash his body in water and be unclean until the evening. The garment and y leather which has semen on it shall be washed in water and unclean until the evening. Also if a woman lies with a man and there is semen ejaculated, she like the man shall bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening.

Like the man, the woman that has discharge form her body other than her customary menstrual cycle, a blood issue she shall be unclean all of her days of her discharge. (Leviticus 15:1-14).

On the eight day, he shall take for himself a sacrificial sin offering to the priest. The priest shall offer the sacrificial offering as sin offering and burnt offering before the Lord because of her discharge. The Priest shall make atonement for him and her, when he receives the offering at the door of the tabernacle of meeting (Leviticus 15:14-15, 29-30).

One last thing, after designate an unclean person, you shall separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness, or they will die in when they defile God’s tabernacle that is amongst them. This is the law of the for the person who has discharge and for him who emits semen and is unclean.; and as well as the women who is disposed due to her menstrual cycle, and for anyone who has discharge and anyone who lies with him or her (Leviticus 15:31-33).

In closing, all we have to do is go to God and say Father; I am the descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I thank you on behalf of what you did for us that you sent your only begotten son, the first born of Israel. Look to the direction of the wailing wall of Israel, and fall on your knees and worship God. Ask God for everything you need in prayer. I honestly believe that he will heal you.

Jesus healed mankind with compassion. Man gives out curses after curses for nought. A gentile cannot heal another person. As you read in Exodus there were eight of ten plagues that Pharaoh and his servants multiplied to the severity of the Egyptians. Jesus eradicated all the diseases, when walked the earth. Our Lord and Savior eradicate every disease that the LORD God Shall bring on you, if you disobey God’s word, those diseases that had not been introduced into Egypt (Exodus 15:26). Jesus is the first born of the fruits of mankind; everything is under subjection of the church. He has Godly attributes and performs the will of God. If I could see god, I would want him to be Jesus the Christ. I certainly can’t argue that Jesus is not a God. However, I remember Moses spoke the word of God saying that no man shall see the face of God, and live (Exodus 33:20 and John 14:7-9). And to think, some people think the book of Leviticus is boring. If so why are diseases prevalent in todays society, with advanced technology? I don't know but these are easy rules to follow without medicine, because after you take medicine the doctor will review you for another seven to ten days. Be blessed, and have a great weekend.
