The Disciples of Jesus Christ Memorial Parsha: Ki Teitzei Deuteronomy 21 and 22

THE MEMORIAL PARSHA OF JESUS CHRIST: Ki Teitzei

The Memorial Parsha for the weekend of Sabbath August 21st, 2010 is Ki Teitzei (When you go out). Ki Teitzei is in the book of Deuteronomy, one of five book of Moses. (Deuteronomy 21:10 through Deuteronomy 25:19).The Haftorah is Isaiah 54.

Memory Scripture: Jesus Said, Matthew 10:16-20: Persecutions are coming
16Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
 17But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
18And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
19But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
20For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Deuteronomy 21 and Deuteronomy 22:
There is so much to cover in each chapter of the memorial parsha of Jesus Christ, for His Disciples. Lets start off by saying in this Torah portion we know that there are 613 commandments called mitzvots, that Jesus fulfilled during his time on the earth. Yes the enemy is god incarnate, controlling the principalities in this world, causing death, panic and destruction of man. Therefore, Jesus is God incarnate, and to many people the closest visible form of the Son of Man that any of my ancestors have ever seen walk the earth. Nevertheless, as the kingdom of God is fulfilled, the second coming of the Messiah will fulfill our expectations and we will not be ashamed. (Matthew 13:14,35 and Matthew 26:54,56).

In Memorial Parsha Ki Teitzei are the laws of the beautiful captives; the inheritance rights of the first-born child (the strength of the parent Deuteronomy 21:11); the wayward and rebellious son (Deuteronomy 21:17-18); burial and dignity of the dead (Deuteronomy 21:22); the returning of a lost object (Deuteronomy 22:3); a fallen birds nest (Deuteronomy 22:6); a safety fence for the home's roof (Deuteronomy 22:8); the command to plant various forms of seeds and husbandry of various animals (Deuteronomy 22:9-10); the command to that you shall 11 not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together; the command that you shall 12 make tassels on the four corners of the cloak you wear. (Deuteronomy 22:11-12). Last but not least the atonment for an unsolved murder. (Deuteronomy 21: 1-9).

What I really like most about this Torah portion is that Jesus said that a tree is known by the fruit. This statement, either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad," really rings out to me, before creation, before Adam and Eve. (Matthew 12:33-37). Jesus is saying that he is here to fulfill the commandments of God, at the hand of Moses. In verse 10, of Deuteronomy 22, the word of God said that you should take care to observe the seeds that you plan together, and the animals that you work together. Jesus said wisdom is justified by her children. (Matthew 11:19). Jesus taught on every aspect of the Gospel, and many of His lessons can be found in the Gospel, the other are eye witness accounts of our ancestors that were in Jerusalem when He walked the earth and preached the gospel, that the kingdom of God is at hand. You have to remember, that there is no allegory, the Messiah will come from the seed of David, for all of the people who crossed over at the Red Sea, out of the house of bondage, out of the land of Egypt.

In addition, this memorial portion is careful to illustrate how you should take care of a birds nest that has fallen to the ground. If a birds nest has fallen to the ground and the Mother is nearby. Moses commands you to send the Mother on her way. However, you shall take care of the eggs and the birds, and this will make your welfare go well, hopefully he meant blessed.

Nevertheless, Jesus said that when you represent him as a disciple then you should go out as harmless as a dove. There are many people who are vulnerable and have acted alone and with terrorist groups in the name of religion. On the contrast, Jesus forbade sectarianism (Mark 9:38-41). Most importantly Jesus wanted His Disciples to know that what you do in His names matters, the mission, as well as the conversion.

Lastly in this memorial portion we look at the atonement for unsolved murders, Moses commanded that if find a slain persons in the street, then you shall call the elders and the judges. The Elders and the Judge shall determine the slain persons identity and the nearby city which he came from. Just as Cain and Abel's role in murder was determined by the fabric of their offerings seeds (fruit) versus animals (wool), so shall you determine who the person is and where the murder escaped. The Elders in a nearby city shall take a heifer that has never been put to work and shall shed the blood of a heifer (Deuteronomy 21:1-4). Next, the Elders shall wash their hands of the blood of the Heifer, and say "Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it done. 8Accept this atonement for your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, O LORD, and do not hold your people guilty of the blood of an innocent man." The blood of the heifer will make atonement for the unsolved and intentional murder.

It's funny that this came up in our memorial portion. I know of a neighborhood that has sixteen unsolved murders in one area, since 2002. The crime index is the highest in the region of the county, and the area is one of the highest crime index's in the nation for per capita of people. The reason why unsolved murders are alarmingly high is because of one thing, poor leadership. The people must have leadership, and the young people must be willing to listen. When the people are under good leadership, then the crimes will be solved and the Judge will render justice. Apostle Paul said that you need not worry about the institution of government or a judge, because they are in a position to protect the innocent and good against the evil.
Mark 9:39 and Jesus Forbade Sectarianism

God's chosen people receive atonement immediately, because they are unable, but not unwilling to solve a murder. The word of God says that you shall bring anything that is your brethern to safety, even an ox, how much more is your life worth to God. So this memorial Parsha has special meaning because the delicate attention and kindness is applied to all animals, creatures and humans on earth, and there is no room for sectarianism, legalism, stoicism etc. Therefore, the blood of the Heifer served as a spiritual atonement, a blanket of forgiveness of sin, which an unsolved murder needs to bring close to the guilty that shed the blood of a humans being and to the family and friends who care about the deceased. Moses commanded that you shall that which is right as it relates to unsolved murders, but people don't listen to God's word. When you listen to God's word you will have forgiveness of guilt at the final day of judgment. As you can see Babylon has caused the death of over three thousand service men, and over $700 billion dollars of U.S. Treasury money. You have not seen anything yet, just wait to the Messiah returns, all the gentiles that are not willing to let Jesus be a light, will cause more trouble during the millennium, after the church - this blog is raptured up into heaven and the Kingdom of God is fulfilled from the perspective of the believers on earth.

DISCIPLE REFERENCE:

Romans 13:8 - Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.

Matthew 12:22-37:  Jesus and Beelzebub
22Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. 23All the people were astonished and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"  24But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub,[d] the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons."
25Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. 26If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? 27And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29"Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his house.
30"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. 31And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

Matthew 12:33-37:  a Tree Known by its Fruit. And Jesus said,
33"Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. 35The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. 36But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
