Let the Redeemed of the lord say so.... #Redeemed_Syria
The assumption that an earlier version of modernization theory must be modified eventually became a requirement for economic and social development in developed and developing countries. For instance, an earlier version of the modernization theory was too optimistic and simplistic in its initial view of change. However, the proponents of an early version of modernization theory expected developing countries to achieve a smooth and simultaneous economic growth, and greater equality, and democracy, and stability, and an even a greater national autonomy. The modernization theory (Samuel Huntington) noted that there was an error in assuming that even “all good things [could even] go together.” (as cited in Handelman, 2006, page 13).
