GENESIS 12:1-20

Commentary:
1Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

GENESIS 15:1-21: The LORD Gods Covenant with Abram
1After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
2And Abram said, "LORD God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?"
3And Abram said, "Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir."
4And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
5And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
6And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
7And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.
8And he said, "LORD God, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?"
9And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
10And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not. 11And when the fowls came down upon the carcasses, Abram drove them away. 12And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
13And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.
15And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.
16But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.
17And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
18In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

20And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,

Commentary:
The last Parsha was awesome, Noah (Noach). The Parsha starts off with a righteous preacher in a corrupt environment that adores the word of God (Genesis 6:11). The law, is the word of God, of the LORD (Jehovah) is perfect (Psalm 91:1). However, on the way to obtaining a Messiah, the bridegroom for the physical Church of God , as well as what can not be seen the invisible, the eternal - the church of God

I first met Apostle Betty Pebbles in 1998. She was with me in the lost of every female matriarch, including my Mother the late Mrs. Catherine Chappell-Sanders on July 5th, 1990 at 10:23 a.m. Pastor Betty was private about her age, she was a few weeks older than my Mother, and she hid her age very well.
As I got to know her she would instruct the audience grammatical precept by precept and line by line of the Bible; she made a case for Christ, and also pastored a community throughout the County of Prince Georges, the State of Maryland and elsewhere. Many say her ministry was that of a “faith,” teacher. Accordingly, Pastor Betty taught that faith is absolutely necessary.
When I first met Pastor Betty she said to me, I have three boys, I have always wanted a little girl, and now I have you and your two sisters. Your mother has died and you have fallen to me, it is meant to be.” I thought to myself, I was the only girl that she wanted but it was a trick, and I found out that she said that to all of her members, all 19,000. I escorted her along with her members to the Oral Robert Campus that sits along my ancestral home of the Cherokee Trail of Tears in Tulsa , Oklahoma
In closing, I felt safe with Pastor Betty because I don’t think that the Replacement Theology was applied to her vision, or her ministry, as it relates to Judaism or Jerusalem

Abram departs with Lot , his nephew, the son of his brother – as the word of God spoke to him, at the age of seventy-five years old. Abram gathers is family and his sustenance from Haran land of Canaan
God appears to Abram a second time in this passage, yet it is the most widely contested passage in the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Genesis 12:1-4, 7). God clearly appears to Abram, and says that he will give this land to Abram builds an altar and demonstrates that he will abandon idolatry and please God. Yet in my forty-five years of living, I have had more accusations by the enemy that I could not in any way possible hear from God, which is just preposterous and delusional. God is real, and I will never stop believing, hoping that I hear from Him. (Zechariah 3:1). The prophet Zechariah knew the name many would call Jesus (Joshua, or Deliverer), and in this prophecy Jesus goes before God accompanied with the Angel of the LORD (Jehovah), and Satan accuses him, Jesus.
Next, Abram went to Mount Bethel Egypt Egypt
Next, it came to pass, that just as Abraham had spoken to his wife, the Egyptians saw how Sara, and most importantly the Egyptians saw how beautiful Sarai was, and that she was very fair complexion. Then, the princes also of Pharaoh saw Sarah as beautiful and were a very fair complexion. (Genesis 12:13). Sarai was taken into Pharaoh’s house. This is an amazing story because Abram knows that he does not have a chance with his status as a husband to his wife, because of wickedness and corruption, and by simply listening to the voice of God – you will know what to expect and you will prepared to overcome the world. As a result, the Egyptians let Abram live and he was treated well for the sake of Sara as in he was given many sheep, oxen, he-asses, menservants, maidservants, she-asses and camels etc. (Genesis 12:16).
In closing this chapter, because the Egyptians looked on a married woman with no regard that she may be the wife of Abram, the LORD God plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues. (Genesis 12:17). Pharaoh said to Abram, “what have you done to me? Why did you tell me that she was your wife? Take your wife and go your way.” Pharaoh commanded that his men would send away Abram, his wife and all that he had because of the plague.
In Genesis 13, Abram leaves Egypt and he is very rich (Genesis 12:16; Genesis 13:2). Abram continued onto his journey and called on the name once more, a total of three times in this Memorial Parsha, at the altar he made for the LORD God. (Genesis 12:7). Lot, like Abram had a great number of flocks, herds, and tens and so eventually the two went their separate ways. The camp of Abram and Lot did not strive together very well. Lot saw Sodom and Gomorrah was a land with good pasture much like the Garden of God (in Eden), which is like the land of Egypt when he was in Zoar.
Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent toward Sodom. The men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD God. (Genesis 13:13).
In Genesis 14, it came to pass that war with kingdom of Sodom, the kingdom of Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim and the kingdom of Zoar, and the kingdoms jointed together in the vale of Siddim (salt sea) and rebelled against King Chedeorlaomer, the king of Elam but not kingdom of Shinar (Genesis 10:10; Genesis 13:3,8); the kingdom of Ellasar and the Tidal (corruption) king of nations, known in Sumerian language as evil progeny etc. In the fourteenth year, Chedorlaomer and his alliances smote the Horites in their mount Seir all the way into Elparan, which is by the wilderness. Many of the historical ancient lands have been changed by their present day conquerors. Chedorlaomer also smote all county of the Amalekites and the Amorites that dwelt in Hazezontamar. Chedorlaomer and his alliances took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their victuals, including Lot and went their way. (Genesis 14:11-12).
Abram went with his trained three hundred and eighteen servants, and pursued them unto Dan. He smote Chedorlaomer and his alliances in and throughout the region of Hobah (left of Damascus, Syria). Abram brought back all the goods, Lot and his goods and the women and the people. Abram was met by the King of Sodom after he returned from the slaughter of Cherdorlaomer. King Melchizedek, the king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most High God. King Melchizedek blessed Abram and said “blessed be Abram of the highest God, possessor of heaven and earth: and blessed be the Highest God, which hath delivered thine enemies into the hand.” Abram probably gave the priest of the most High God, at least one-tenth of his tithes. (Genesis 12:18-20).
In closing, the king of Sodom, a kingdom of perverse wickedness and sin said to Abram, “Give me the persons and you take the goods to for yourself.” I am so glad that Abram did not agree to give the persons that he had to the king of Sodom, because this is no way would be acceptable to the LORD OF HOSTS. Instead Abram said, “I lift up mine hand to the LORD God, the most high GOD, the possessor of heaven and earth, that I will not take anything from you, unless you shall say, “I have made Abram rich.” Now Abram had knew that he had taken food as source of nutritional provision during the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and that the men that were with him, had a right to a portion.
In your battle against the enemy he will often call you delirious and he will fool even the elect. However you have used your spiritual eyes to see that the short cut that you take doesn’t please God, neither does it make you spiritually rich. In the end, it is just as Jesus said, it is easier for a camel to enter a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of God (Mark 10:25; Matthew 19:24). Most importantly the word of God is clearly laid out so that you will know that the land is inherited through the covenant of Abraham, to the Jewish people, as a Jewish nation, regardless of what spectrum you see us.
In Genesis 15, Abram receives a vision from God; the word of God speaks to Abram and tells him that he will not only have a biological heir. Abram will also have seed to number the sands, and in fact with the Christian Religion, this vision is fulfilled and will continue to be fulfilled. Abram counted the vision and the word of God, he heard a word as righteousness, and Abram was faithful to God. God counted Abram as a righteous man, a friend to God. (Romans 4:3; Galatians 3:6). Abram fell into a deep sleep and he had the parent’s worst nightmare, and that is that his parents would be mistreated and held in perpetual bondage in the land of Egypt against their will for over four hundred thirty years (413 out 430 years). (Exodus 12:41). It came to pass that in the end of the four hundred thirty years that God set His people free from the house of bondage. God is faithful to Abram and remembered his covenant when he sat His chosen people free. Jesus in turn came along and set the Gentile people free of their sin, with a lot less killing such as his predecessors, Abram and Joshua etc. God passes judgment on the people of nations (the heathens) so that they will know that he is God, I AM.
Abram ends this chapter going into a vision through a deep sleep. He knows what is going to happen to his descendants, the seed of the promise. Nevertheless, Abram is immediately converted to Gods’ plan, God’s direction, God’s vision for his life, a life of faith through ministering angels. After driving the fowls away from the carcasses’ he falls into a sleep, and he sees in this vision that he not only pleases God but there is a great reward for him and his descendants – but there would be heartache and a nightmare before his descendants would receive their inheritance. God tells Abram that he will always honor the promise to his descendants, and turn Egypt over to the right hand of God. As a matter of fact, Jesus sits on the right hand of God. (Genesis 15:14). And when the descendants come out of Egypt they will come with great sustenance and wealth. No other man has ever come out of Egypt so rich. The great sages suggest that there is lamp that is buried and four leather keys that hold much of the storage of Joseph goods. Nevertheless in the same day as the vision God not only confirmed but made the covenant of God with Abram, saying “Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: (19) The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, (20) And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, (21) And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.” (Genesis 15:19-21).
In Genesis 16, Abram and Sarai is a childless couple, because Sarai is woman with a barren womb. However, Sara did have an Egyptian handmaid, named Hagar. Sarai, the wife of Abram was barren, but Hagar was fertile. So Sara said to Abram, look God has kept me from bearing children. Please go into my handmaid. Sara wanted to be the mother of Hagar’s children. Does Sarai even realize what she is saying? Abram listened to the voice of Sarai, but he did not get her reasoning. Abram went into Hagar, after she was given to be his wife, and this occurred after ten years of living in the land of Canaan. Hagar conceived a child by Abram, and she named him Ishmael.
On the other hand, Sarai despised Abrams mistress, his lover, and lower wife – the bondwoman because she felt despised since she could not have children; she took her mind off of the bigger problem. Many times when people have a problem they take their mind off of the bigger problem and abuse the smaller issue which really is not bothering them. Nevertheless, Abram appeased Sarai and gave Hagar to her, under her complete authority; and Sara abused her authority and dealt harshly with Hagar which caused her to flee.
7And the angel of the LORD found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur. (8) And he said, Hagar, Sarai's maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai. (9) And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Return to thy mistress, and submits thyself under her hands. (10) And the angel of the LORD said unto her, I will multiply thy seed exceedingly, that it shall not be numbered for multitude. (11) And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
The angel of the LORD God, ministered unto Hagar, and she said that he would be against every man, and he would not side with anyone; and he shall dwell in the presence of all of his brethren, Esau, Jacob, Isaac, Israel and even the Ishmaelite to name a few. While the angel of the LORD God ministered unto Hagar, a mother of a nation, she called on the name of the LORD God, Jehovah, at the well of Beerlahairoi because she knew that know only did God see her, but he looked after as a woman that had a broken heart, a spirit and had to flee for safety and security. (Genesis 16:12-14).
After the angel of the LORD God, had ministered unto Hagar, she knew that God’s name is Jehovah, not Allah. God did not give Hagar his namesake. However, knew who had seen her affliction. Likewise, you see many Christians that have converted over to Judaica (Yehodim), Judah, the only tribe to keep their name and knew how to call on the name, Jehovah and God did, and He will answer. I ever heard a Christian calling the one and only God, Jehovah God, Father God. God specifically says that no eye can see Him, and He did not share His glory with anyone, yet many Christians will tell you that God died on the cross so that they can brainwash you and control you into submission, it starts right in your community with that neighborhood church for Jehovah (LORD). Yet the Son, the returning Messiah says he will choose his house, and many of you that play church will not be chosen, yet I bet you thought you were called. Remember that Gods name to his chosen people, Yehodim is simply Jehovah, you don’t need to an adjective onto the name of God.

In this story we will learn that as Hagar, often times you can by pass a depression, not care about orphans, you can even always have the best foods and the best of a home, and familial relationship but you lack nothing when you follow God’s word, his ways, his paths and his plans for your life. (Psalm 23:1, 3,6). Nevertheless, Hagar bared a son for Abram and called him Ishmael. Abram was fourscore and six years old when Ishmael was born. (Genesis 16:15-16). If God did not give you his name, as a namesake to be a guide and a light to the world, the Gentiles, then you can simply be sure to know that your promises have nothing to do with Jerusalem. (Isaiah 42:6-7; Luke 2:32; Psalm 86:12; Genesis 2:4; Isaiah 62:1). Therefore, the prophet Samuel wrote for the namesake of Jehovah, He will not reject his people, since he has made Judah, you, his own. (1st Samuel 12:22). So when you get to thinking about how you got out of your own land of Egypt consider what King Soloman said, and that is that all may know that Jehovah is God and there is no one else. 1st Kings 8:60-61, (60) That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else. (61) Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day. 1st Kings 12:19-20, 19So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day. 20And it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again, that they sent and called him unto the congregation, and made him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only. Like Israel, Edom has revolted against Judah unto this day. 2nd Kings 8:19-23, “Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him always a light, and to his children.” (2nd Kings 8:19).
At the age of ninety-nine years old, the LORD God (Jehovah) appeared to Abram saying, “I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be perfect.” Now you have to remember if you are going to be a friend to God, he counts you righteous, you are imputed righteous then you must know to call on his name. Then God says, “I will make My covenant between me and you, I will multiply thee exceedingly.” Now at this point how many of us are descendants of Abraham, just raise your hand. Although Abraham may be the father of our faith, the Lord Jesus teaches us that we should call no one Father, because we have a Heavenly Father and He is Jehovah, we don’t have to say Jehovah Lord God, Jehovah is fine, but many Gentiles don’t have the name of God, but like Hagar, you have his assurance that you will succeed, and many of you will never know a day without a job, a day without hunger, a day without a home, but you don’t know God nor his name. (Galatians 4:21-25). Next God says, “My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.” (Matthew 23:9; Romans 8:15; Galatians 4:1-7). Then God said to Abram, Genesis 17:5, Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. 6And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 7And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. 8And I will give unto thee and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. 9And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. 10This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. 11And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. 12And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. 13He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. 14And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant. 15And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. 16And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
Immediately Abram and sarai are transformed by the Word of God, their new names are Abraham and Sarah; but first he laughed and did not think that he could procreate at the age of one hundred years old, and Sarah shall be ninety years old and bear a child, too? Now the promise of a child well that did not sound right; both thought that it might not be possible to bear a child at their age. Nevertheless, Abraham said, “Please let Ishmael live before the sight of Jehovah.” Nevertheless God reiterates that his covenant will be established through Isaac and she shall bear a son, and name him Isaac at this time next year.
Genesis 17:19, And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his seed after him. 20And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. 21But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this, set time in the next year. 22And he left off talking with him and God went up from Abraham.

We want restore our leaders and elders by taking the “Ra” (evil) out of “Ra”bbi, to restore our “Fathers” back into our tribal knessets. Do not call yourselves Rabbi. Rabbi is derived from the Egyptian god; Ra

In the last chapter of Memorial Parsha Lech Lecha, Abraham greets the Lord and three men. Abraham asked his Lord to stay and eat the bread and Abraham worked hard to be hospitable to his divine guest even while it was not outside and he lives in a tent. Do you really think anyone in the land of Canaan wanted to hear the gospel? The land of Canaan is like Prince Georges County, so now you know.
Again the guest, asked where was his wife Sarah, not Sarai, and Sarah is blessed by the guest, his Lord, and he says to her, “I will certainly return unto thee the of life, and then Sarah shall be a son from her own womb. Sarah stood behind and the door and heard the entire conversation and laughed because this was hard to conceive that she shall be blessed in a manner to bear a chld at her age and in her poor condition f health. God said to Abraham, Sarah has laughed and shad she canot produce children because of her age. God said, “Nothing is impossible all you have to do is just believe,”… and just stay on course. Later Sara denied that she had ever doubted God (Genesis 18:5).
At this point God said he knew Abraham would be preached unto his children as a commandment and the seed of Abraham shall keep the way of God. Nevertheless grievous cry of Sodom and Gomorrah had reached God because cannot look on sin, but he knew that Sodom and Gomorrah were sinning and living an unacceptable life to run a nation.
In closing we know that Jesus said nothing is impossible with God. Jesus’ also explained the parable about the narrow way as oppose to the wide road that everybody else travels. As a result, Abraham bargains that God would not destroy the land and save a few righteous people, God is the judge of the entire earth.
