Moses speaks to all the people before him that today is a day that he sets before you a blessing and a curse. Moses said that you would receive the blessing if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God, that he (Moses) has commanded you today, from the word of God. Moses had a word from God.

Like in the past two memorials Parsha’s Moses said, “I am talking to you this day, to see if you will obey the commandments of the LORD Your God, when God gave the first set of the Ten Commandments, the Torah: the Ark of the Covenant. (Exodus 20:6; Deuteronomy 27:11-12; and Deuteronomy 28:1-14). Moses said that it shall come to pads, that when the LORD Your God has brought into the Promised Land that you shall go into the land that God gave you: you shall possess and dwell in the Promised Land. (Deuteronomy 11:30-31 and Leviticus 26:3). Moses said the blessings will be upon mount Gerzim, and then there will also be the curse upon mount Ebal. (Deuteronomy 27:9-10). The Gospel, Jesus taught that the miracles performed in you are important to remain in you, this day. (Matthew 11:20-24).

Now Moses said the curse will be set before you if you will not obey all the commandments that I have taught; that if you turn aside and go out of way to disobey the commandments taught by the handoff Moses has taught you today. Then Moses encouraged the people not to go after any unknown gods: idolatry. Basically Moses is saying that you have to put your trust in Him, a God that you know his wrath, his blessings, his indignation, his promises, and his law. (Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Deuteronomy 2:1-26; and Deuteronomy 5:32).

The blessings, as well as the curse can be a reality to you. In the case with Moses, they were on the side of Jordan – in the land of Canaan. True to Moses prophecy, mount Ebal can be a curse, it is on the other side. In the recent news cast and the resumed war with Lebanon and the continued shellings that don’t sound or look anything like cease fire. Nevertheless Moses said you shall pass over the Jordan to go into possess the land that the LORD Your God has given you, to possess the land and to dwell in the land. Moses said, after you possess the land and dwell in the land that you shall also do all the statutes and judgments that are set before you to promote peace, harmony, rest, success and joy, this day (Deuteronomy 5:30-31).

After Moses commands the half tribe of Manasseh, the tribe of Gad, the tribe of Reuben to take the land and possess it, and dwell in the land; which is a land that the LORD care for, looks after and gave out of the hand of the two Amorite Kings. Then only the king of Bashan had remained, a remnant of the giants (in present day Lebanon during Jesus time it was called Sidon and Tyre). Not only was he a giant psychologically, but he was physically very large, taller than 7 or 9 feet in height. Nevertheless Moses commands the children of this generation, specifically saying that today that the half tribe of Manasseh shall possess and dwelling Gilead, as commanded by God. The Moses commands that the LORD Your God has already given you the land of the two Amorite Kings, which were used as cities of refuge (Deuteronomy 3:8-10). However, Reuben and the tribe of God, possess and dwelled in the remained of Gilead, at the border of the Ammonites, even unto the River of Jabbok. (Deuteronomy 3:12-17).

The predecessor to Babylon

The word of God, Moses law, prophetically blesses the obedient children of Israel in the promise land, and where ever they go so that it may go well. However there are curses that will prevail if you are disobedient to the commandments and statutes that were taught by Moses, that are set before you this day. (See Parsha Devarim and Parsha Va’etchanan; Deuteronomy 6:2,24; Deuteronomy5:3,24; Deuteronomy 7:11; Deuteronomy 4:20,38,39). In this Memorial Parsha, Re’eh more than ever we know that God does not need an Evangelist to bring you in the nation of Israel, the promise land. Throughout the word God constantly says that “I will bring you to this land, you shall go into this land and possess and dwell.” So now we know that God wrote the two tablets, and that God will bring his people anywhere he needs to go and God operates out of free will so if it is not in your heart then don’t worry about it. As for me I am used to be told no, rejected and not helped at all. God is sovereign and He does not need anyone in to bring you out of the nations iron furnace i.e. genocide. Yet so many people don’t believe anything or believe nothing. On the contrast, Moses goes onto to say that you are chose to be a people unto the LORD Your God. (Deuteronomy 4:20); because God loved your forefathers; He (God) chose the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the seed after them (Deuteronomy 4:38 and Deuteronomy 7:11). Yes, even the saints, the elders of Israel, the Patriarchs’ and all the Prophets, Apostles’ of Jesus Christ know that there is one God, and there is no other God, God is one.
